Who is this class for?
This class is for writers who dream of writing a book and feel intimidated by the size.
This class is for writers who want to follow an idea for many, many pages, committing (even just for five weeks) to a writing project.
This class is for writers who crave camaraderie and community.
Whether you’re a published author or just getting started on the page (or somewhere in between), you’ll walk away with concrete suggestions to help you improve your work.
What to Submit for Workshop
During our workshop, students will have the opportunity to submit four pieces from their fiction or nonfiction projects, five pages each.
But I don’t have a writing project yet, you might be thinking.
This is a great place to begin one.
Writing submissions for the week will be due the Monday prior to each class.
If you are absent from class, you are still eligible to receive feedback from the group.
What to Expect
Your workshop group will consist of four students total. This small group environment will foster an intimate, rich discussion of your work.
Each week, prior to class, you’ll be expected to read ~15 pages of double-spaced prose.
One-on-One Support
As a student in this workshop, you’ll receive one-on-one support.
When you sign up for class, I’ll schedule a 30-minute Zoom call with you to discuss your goals for the workshop and answer your questions before we begin.
Once our workshop is complete, we’ll have one last 30-minute one-on-one Zoom call to discuss your writing goals moving forward.
