I teach mat Pilates classes online and in person. I also work with clients one on one.

why Pilates?

My Pilates journey began in 2019 after years of enduring chronic hip pain.

My physical therapist prescribed a few Pilates exercises, and as I practiced regularly at home, I began to strengthen my way out of pain.

This year, I made the decision to become a certified Pilates teacher.

my teaching journey

Frustrated by the lack of access to this rehabilitative movement modality within systemically divested communities, I arrive to the work of movement education eager to issue inclusive invitations to all kinds of bodies.

It is my dream to prevent socioeconomic limitations from allowing folks of all backgrounds to experience the kind of embodied empowerment I’ve experienced myself through this practice of attentive, connected movement.

teaching style

My Pilates teaching style is: encouraging, expansive, and enchanting.

As a neurodivergent queer person, I reach for inclusive, trauma-informed language while teaching. I prioritize functional strength, not physical aesthetics.

As a writer and language-lover, I relish specific imagery and sharp metaphors in my movement cueing.
